Academic literary journal of the Instituto Literario y Cultural Hispánico (ILCH), affiliated to the MLA (Modern Language Association). The purpose of the journal is to disseminate the study and criticism of Hispanic literature in the academic and international sphere. The journal was created and directed by Dr. Juana Alcira Arancibia, president and founder of the Institute based in California, USA. Since its first edition in 1982, Alba de América has published original scholarly manuscripts exclusively in Spanish.
