COS-MICs (Comics and Sciences through Multidisciplinary Investigation and Collaboration) COST Action (CA24160) explores the intersection of comics and science. Our aim is to understand how comics can communicate scientific ideas, spark public dialogue, and support education. In a world where reaching diverse audiences with scientific knowledge is increasingly challenging, comics offer a powerful medium to bridge the gap.
Despite their potential, the relationship between comics and science remains underdeveloped, with few structured resources and limited collaboration between scientific and comics communities. COS-MICs seeks to change that by creating an international network of researchers, professionals, and users, bringing together expertise and resources to improve access to research and original sources.

Through this collaborative network, we focus on enhancing how science is represented in comics, exploring their educational potential, and understanding their influence on society and public perceptions. By promoting cross-cultural dialogue and bringing together diverse voices, COS-MICs aims to strengthen the circulation of scientific knowledge through comics across Europe and beyond.
