Invited speaker for a colloquium on Galactic and Extragalactic Neutrino Source Populations as part of the HEP@VUB seminars. In this colloquium, an investigation of the neutrino emission of galactic and extragalactic neutrino source populations was presented, using the relationship between IceCube's point-source detection potential and diffuse flux observations.
