Identity and Autism

Activity: Talk or presentationTalk at a public lecture/debate

Description

Many autistic people struggle with identity formation. In this talk, identity is explored by comparing identity development in autistic and non-autistic populations through a lifespan perspective. We zoom in on cognitive and neurobiological theories that could help explain differing identity development. Gender identity and stigma in the context of autism is explored as well.
