OpenLab Conference 2024

Description

OpenLab.Brussels Conference aims to bring together contributions from researchers and practitioners interested in participatory research projects. Participatory research approaches allow any stakeholder to participate in (parts) of the research process as co-researchers. More than simply increasing research capacity and data collection, these approaches allow more inclusive and sustainable research with increased societal relevance. It also increases diversity in science and contributes to bridging the gap between researchers and society.

The PED4ALL team participated in the panel discussion, “Brussels in Action: Participatory Research for Sustainable Urban Development and Biodiversity.” During the event, they presented their academic paper, “Co-producing Just Energy Transition Pathways for Cureghem: Preliminary Insights from the PED4ALL Project on PED Development in Complex Urban Neighborhoods.” The presentation emphasized their project's focus on building urban transformative capacity and promoting just energy transitions.
