The tibialis anterior, biceps brachii, gastrocnemius, and rectus abdominis muscles are reliable to measure muscle quantity and quality with ultrasound.
The rectus femoris and forearm extensor muscles are reliable to measure muscle quantity.
The biceps femoris and erector spinae muscles are reliable to measure muscle quality.
The triceps brachii does not appear to be reliable for ultrasound measurement.
