SPLISS: Sports policy factors leading to international sporting success. Since 2002, Veerle De Bosscher is the founder of SPLISS, an international network of research cooperation in high performance sport that coordinates, develops and shares expertise in innovative high performance sport policy research in cooperation with policy makers, National Olympic Committees (NOCs), international (sport) organisations, and researchers worldwide.It started with the SPLISS 1.0 project (2002-2008) in collaboration with 6 nations, the SPLISS 2.0 project in collaboration with 16 nations. SUMMARY - 58 researchers and 33 policy makers collaborating in SPLISS 2.0 2011-2013), from 16 countries (10 European, 2 American, 3 Asian and Australia). - one of the largest benchmark studies in sport - Outcome, among others: ‘Best Paper award’ (2008); fourth most frequently downloaded paper in the Sport Management Review (2010) and in the European Sport Management Quarterly (2013); Visiting professor in Utrecht University (2013-2015);
