Description
The research visit contributed to the comparative analyses on VOD production and distribution in Belgium and Spain, continuing the collaboration started in 2023 and early 2024 with two of the researchers at the University Carlos III Madrid (Prof. García Leiva and Pedro Gallo), during their own research stays at the research group imec-SMIT, Vrije Universiteit Brussel.The stay involved data collection on VOD services in Spain; two research presentations (at an international seminar and for the Diversidad Audiovisual/Audiovisual Diversity research group); conducting interviews and networking meetings with several scholars from University Carlos III Madrid (UC3M) and Complutense University of Madrid (UCM); and a guest lecture for students following a Bachelor’s course on Television Studies at UCM.
The fellowship received the support of the FWO (Fonds voor Wetenschappelijk Onderzoek) Mobility Grant V442424N.
