What exactly is privacy? The right to be alone? Or have secrets? And is that actually a fundamental right? A fundamental right that may now be in jeopardy? Prof. dr. Dr. Paul De Hert is a lawyer at the VUB and gives a brief history and current status of privacy. A closed letter should not be opened, because then you violate his privacy. Privacy is old. Not ancient, but old nonetheless. Prof. dr. dr. Paul De Hert talks about the past and future of privacy in a new lecture of the University of Flanders.
