Women’s experiences with being pregnant and becoming a new mother during the COVID-19 pandemic

As a part of a large survey, an additional open ended, non-obligatory,
question was asked to women to share their experiences with being pregnant
and becoming a new mother during the COVID-19 pandemic: ‘How did
you experienced being pregnant and becoming a new mother during the
COVID-19 pandemic? What were positive and challenging aspects for
you? We are interested in your story, you can write down your experiences
about one or more topics: e.g. social contacts, family and/or relationships,
follow-up by perinatal health professionals, mental health
and your perinatal period experiences’. The results of this open-ended
questions are discussed in this article.
