David Castro-Garcia holds a B.S. in Psychology from the National University of Colombia and an M.Sc. in Educational Sciences from the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB). He is a PhD researcher at the BILD research group from the Department of Educational Sciences at the VUB. He is currently researching how informal teaching advice networks of early-career university teachers influence their teaching practices. Specifically, this research draws on the egocentric network perspective to understand the role of teachers' reasons and purposes for seeking informal teaching advice on their teaching approaches and conceptions.
