Expertise
Since 2019 I am Head of Department of Medical Genetics, University Hospital Brussel and appointed as Professor in Clinical Genetics at the Free University of Brussels. As of this career movement, I became active in the field of reproductive genetics. Before, I was a clinical geneticist at the Department of Clinical Genetics at the LUMC, with a main interest in hereditary cancers. Between 2015 and 2019, I was chairman of the Dutch Clinical Genetics Society. Currently, I am involved in the studies of five Ph.D. students that work in different fields of genetics: including cancer, infertility, decision making, and psychosocial aspects of WGS.
