Expertise
Luna Gauchez obtained her Master’s degree in Rehabilitation Sciences and Physiotherapy from the Vrije Universiteit Brussel, specializing in Internal Disorders (2024). Prior to her PhD, Luna gained valuable experience during internships in various healthcare settings, where she found that the integration of physiotherapy in palliative oncology care is severely lacking. This observation not only fueled her passion for enhancing the role of physiotherapy within palliative settings but also inspired her thesis, which focused on this critical issue. Funded by Kom op tegen Kanker, she joined both the Rehabilitation Research Group (RERE) and End-of-Life Care Research Group in November 2024 as a PhD student. In her doctoral research, she focuses on the role of the physiotherapist in palliative oncology care.
