Dr. Zafer Kızılkaya holds a joint PhD degree in Political Science at VUB, and in Social ad Military studies at the Royal Military Academy of Belgium (2018). His research interests are in the field of Ethics in International Relations, Non-state armed groups, Military strategy and Middle Eastern studies. He also has previous professional experience at NATO, covering the conflicts in Iraq and Syria and preparing regular reports on the political, economic and security developments in the Middle East.
