Generally accepted paradigms related to man's cognitive development throughout life-span are seriously challenged by methodological drawbacks (i.e. conventional evaluation techniques) as pointed out by Sternberg. Furthermore, he points to the confusion caused in traditional research, by not discriminating cohort, historical and age effects. Objectives:The project will test the following hypothesis "Young birth cohorts perform less or equal than older birth cohorts both on product aswell as on process evaluation criteria', and will use a cross-sectional researcl design.
