A formal study of topics from the philosophy of science, especially in terms of adaptive and erotetic logics and of their combination.

Project Details

This project is a collaboration between research teams at the Centers of Logic and Philosophy of Science of Ghent University and Free University of Brussels and their partners in Zielona Gora and Torun, both in Poland. On the Flemish side, adaptive logics were developed that are extremely well-suited to model knowledge at moments of change. On the Polish side, logics of questions and answers have been extensively studied. The basis of the collaboration between these groups is the conviction that both approaches should be integrated and combined so as to allow a treatment of problems in the philosophy of science in a more fruitful way.
