Project Details

Description

The objective of this survey is to acquire an insight in the needs, opinions and interests of the schoolgoing youth as well as the perception of the PE teachers concerning the PE classes and school sports. A perception survey, in which the "interest of human experience" stands central, is necessary when we wish to learn about the opinion, interest and needs of children and youngsters as valuable converstaion partners. The first target group therefore, is the schoolgoing youth. The second target group consists of PE teachers. The data are collected by means of the principles of triangulation with different techniques and are derived from several sources. The data collecting techniques are: collecting written material (essay, diary), observation, group conversations and depth-interviews. The research begins with the formulation of a temporary open problem definition and the deduction of direction categories from the data. The categories and their characteristics are then integrated in order to finally close and formulates the theory (Glaser & Strauss 1967).
