Project Details


BIOSES analyses the impact of different market introduction scenarios of biofuels in the Belgian transport system with the focus on the user perspective (demand side). The time frame for the analysis goes from the short term (2010), mid term (2020) to long term (2030).
The project will create a roadmap for liquid biofuels implementation in Belgium, with a focus on the demand side (end use), defining technical needs and policy needs in the short, medium and long term. Based on updated figures of energy use, emissions and costs, the project will perform an assessment of the practical feasibility and analyse the environmental, socio-economic and macro-economic impacts of biofuel implementation in Belgium.
