Co-expression of the reporter genes Firefly Luciferase and Natrium-Iodide Symporter in transplanted cells enables long term in vivo cell-imaging using optical and nuclear imaging techniques

Project Details

Description

The aim of the project is to develop a imaging strategy for monitoring transplanted cells in which we wish to define in vivo frequently repeatedly and on a non-invasive way viability, cell number and localization. This will be achieved by using stable expressed Firefly luciferase reporter genes (Fluc) and Sodium iodide Symporter (NIS) in the transplanted cells.
