Description

The phenomenon 'diffraction' in the high energy physics has received in the last years attention on both theoretical as experimental level. With the standard H1 detector, the selection of a diffractive occassion isn't simple and also, the background is significant. With the help of the forward proton spectrometer, a diffractive occasion can be very efficiently identified and the effect of the background events is reduced to a minimum.
