Project Details
Description
From 2008 onwards the new 'Large Hadron Collider' (LHC) in CERN will allow the study of proton-proton collisions with a centre of mass energy of 14 TeV. The Compact Muon Solenoid (CMS) is a gigantic particle spectrometer that will be installed at one of the intersection points of LHC. The team participating in CMS experiment have to contribute to the cost of operating and maintaining the detector. The present application seeks funding for covering these costs.
