The VUB FACS Core Facility is dedicated to support research projects requiring fluorescence-activated cell sorting (FACS) analysis. Flow cytometry is a technology that simultaneously measures and analyzes multiple physical characteristics of single microscopic particles, usually cells, as they flow in a fluid stream through a beam of light. The FACS Core Facility aims to facilitate research through the use of flow cytometry by providing access to high-end and state-of-the-art cytometers and cell sorters, access to dedicated expertise and tailored training for (prospective) users.
