COVID in our environment: How do we get past the pandemic?

Project Details

Description

Rarely has a topic had such a drastic impact on almost all aspects of our society as the current COVID-19 crisis. It is clear that this subject requires a multidisciplinary approach. However, the subject raises a lot of vagueness, even among young people who just as well wish to speak out and participate in the social debate.
This project is developing a completely new digital learning pathway with modules for secondary education, in which each module addresses the central question: "How do we get past the current COvID-19 crisis". A central and public website brings these modules together and indicates their multidisciplinary character.
The content of each module is created in collaboration with experts from the research field, combined with the pedagogical expertise of Brightlab and the STEM support center Brussels to bring state-of-the-art knowledge directly to the young people. The aim is to give the students insight into the disciplines covered and to stimulate critical thinking and mutual reflection.
We give the young people a sense of responsibility by not passively presenting them with information, but by letting them actively participate. The acquired insights take the young people into debates about the possible scenarios.
