Project Details

Description

This project is an interuniversitary (KULeuven, UGent, UAntwerpen, VUBrussel) and interdisciplinary (genetics, molecular cell biology, pathology, oncology) concept. Its principal aim is to unravel how host cells contribute to the development of tumors. This can serve as a basis for the development of new therapies, where host cells function as targets. This is possible due to the concertation of different research units via (A) exchange of information, materials and techniques, (B) set up of complementary experiments, (C) hosting of one another's PhD students, and (D) common presentation of results and manuscripts.
