Description
There is too little culture in school, but is that right? Principals of school are already interested in art education at school. However the lack of motivation of teachers is a problem. In our research we make following supposal: The shortage of motivation is dependent on the lack of knowledge of the teachers about contemporary art (see research 1911140960 'Research on the effect of educative expositions). If the shortage could be remedied bij continued formation, than the motivation to educate art in school could be heightend. Whereas the policy of education doesn't provide an increase of special hours for art, it is necessary that this get a change in different courses. It is the intention to: 1° study the attitude (prejudices) of the teachers about contemporary art; 2° to gather information of the teachers who have a broad experience on this domain; 3° to work out on that basis a curriculum for continued formation. In the world of visual art education there is great uncertainty: there is no longer a sufficient answer to the question of how students should be prepared for a career in art. The teaching models on which studyprograms were built seem to be out-of-date. The education offered by art schools would seem to correspond less and less with what is actually happening in the artworld. From these conclusions, this study aims to contribute to an understanding of the problematical nature of higher art education today. The research wants to contribute on Flemish situation. Thereby its main objective is to examine the possible aims of art education at the present time.More specifically the research wishes to look for the opinions of visual artists about this topic. This will happen through qualitative intervieuws.Prolongation:Over the past few years, care for quality has become a major concern in health care. This quality is threatened by conflicts which can overburden the quality of the organization and the human subjective feeling of well-being. How to cope with conflicts among professionals is one of the most pressing questions within these teams. The global objective of managing conflict is to limit the cooperation problems and to stimulate responsibilities and independent workability of the professionals. The contigency theory offers an interesting framework for the study of the influence of various techniques and styles for managing conflicts. We have three objectives: 1) get a picture of the situation in the residential care, determine the interrelationships between 2) the effects which occur as a consequence of a training focused on managing conflicts and 3) supervision concerning conflicts and the continuation of the quality of care. We will obtain an insight into the present situation after a thorough literature study and strategies based on the Critical Incident Technique. After this a field experiment (non-equivalent control group design) is set up. The measurements take place immediately before and after the regulated intervention. The post-test measurement is repeated after one year for examining the long term effects. To determine the effects of regulated group intervention on the managing conflicts we'll use tests, questionnaires, interview, observations, selfreporting methods and training evaluation methods. The study will take place at a large scale institutions for handicapped children and adolescents.
