Development of stable isotope techniques for the study of biogeochemical cycles in aquatic ecosystems and the reconstruction of (paleo)-environmental conditions

Project Details

Description

The research for the following years will be conducted along two main tracks, as outlined below. The focus is on new methodologies and on their application in various current and planned research projects. 1) Development of stable isotope techniques in the study of biogeochemical cycles in aquatic ecosystems- Biogeochemistry of coastal and freshwater ecosystems- Biogeochemistry of deep-sea hydrothermal vent systems- C-N uptake in oceanic system2) Development of stable isotope techniques in the study of paleoenvironments
