Description
The NEPH Industrial project concerns the study and the development of an innovative electric power system range that will constitute the key component of a personal mobility device range for helping the European Postmen:
- to perform mail delivery in urban areas
- to contribute to the 'Sustainable Development European Policy'
Postmen demonstrations will be used to promote these innovative mobility devices towards other applications.
Each power train system will be composed of the following components:
- Battery system based on Li-ion and Ni-MH technologies
- Motor systems based on brushless hub motor technology
- Human-Machine interface (HMI) to allow the end user to operate the mobility device
Three mobility devices are considered in this project
- Electrically assisted trolley
- Electrically assisted bicycle
- Electrically assisted bicycle family: tricycle, quadricycle, etc.
Some other mobility devices could be considered according to the market requests: electric moped,etc.
