Multiple myeloma (MM) is a B cell malignancy, representing the second most prevalant hematological malignancy. Despite therapeutic advances, MM still remains an incurable disease due to chemotherapeutic resistance.
The aim of the present study is to identify the epigenetic regulation (acetylation ot methylation) of key inhibitors and /or methylation inhibitors might represent novel therapeutical strategies. This study will be performed both in vitro and in vivo, in a mutine model of MM, and will be confirmed using human MM cells. Moreover, we will attempt to overcome acquired drugresistance by combining agents targeting distinct pathways involved in MM Progression.
