The consortium is a single country (Mongolia) multilateral (BE, PL, MN) partnership within region 5 (Asia) including a remote
Mongolian partner and a Mongolian newcomer, all recognised by the Mongolian competent authorities. Apart from 3 Mongolian public
and private HEIs, the consortium includes a Belgian HEI, a Polish HEI and a European Association. It fosters capacity building for and
development of deliverables in the Languages, Humanities and Education Studies departments aimed at implementing the priorities of
Mongolia’s Five-year Development Guidelines 2021-2025 for Education: (1) digital learning and teaching about the European Union
(annually about 5000 students in the 4 Mongolian HEIs) and modernisation of about 35 programmes and (mandatory) courses (WP
S&C) in the humanities, languages, education studies and teacher training in 3 HEIs in Mongolia; (2) the development of 10 new online
modules (WP DEV) about the European Union democratic structures, common values, and policies and frameworks to implement through
education the digitalisation, diversity and environmental policies of the European Union and the making of a Mongolian-English glossary
on the European Union; (3) modernisation of libraries to include equipment and literature on the European Union, designed to meet the
needs of the Mongolian learning and research community interested in the European Union (WP DEV); (4) inclusive education design
adapting the online modules to the needs of deaf, hard of hearing and blind students with Mongolian subtitles, speech recording and
Mongolian sign language (WP DEV); (5) outreach to the broader Mongolian HEI community and societal environment (WP D&E); (6)
transfer of competences to run an Erasmus + project to staff in newcomers and less experienced Mongolian HEIs (WP MNG, PREP,
QC); (7) enhance visibility about the European Union and its role in the world in Mongolia (WP D&S).
