- Compilation of existing data: much data is currently available (Geological maps, geotechnical maps, databases, drilling results, from STIB/MIVB, SNCB/NMBS, satellite images, piezometric measurements, geological profiles, aquifer's levels, etc.
-Field work to complete locally missing data, by looking at existing outcrops and carrying out shallow drilling where needed
-Case studies: selected sites based on geological or topographic characteristics, such as presence and thickness of the Brussels Sandstone, estimation of water fluxes
- Description of hydrological characteristics of the Brussels lithological units
- localisation of natural storm basins, as the Brussels sandstone can store vast amounts of water
