Exploiting quantum statistical techniques to combine the results of various measurements to improve distinguishability in the analysis of radar signals employed to detect and image anti-personnel mines.

The aim of the project is to improve anti personnel mine (APM) detection capabilities by utilizing generalized quantum statistical methods to combine the results of various sensing modalities (Ground Penetrating Radar, Electric Impedance Tomography, IR,...) into a single state of the underground scaterrer. These single states can be distinguished from noise and other objects (eg. other mines, rocks, debris) by quantum distinguishing techniques.
