Project Details
Description
The Brubotics-VUB group is working on many different robotics technologies to help people with daily tasks of living, which requires a different approach than conventional robotics. Here we will share our work with the public in four different areas. These include Prosthetics, Rehabilitation Exoskeletons, Wheelchair technology, and new sensing systems for detecting human interaction.
We are demonstrating prosthetic technology, including our robotic prostheses and our work in developing new materials for socket technologies. We will have a lower limb exoskeleton on display, intended for use in tests with sarcopenic and stroke patients. We will have an instrumented wheelchair where people can roll over different terrains. And finally we will have a set of games using different biological sensors, such as EMG and pressure sensors along with a public data collection for EMG detecting pants.
