Project Details
Description
The ICON project SENSOR explores the potential of molecularly imprinted polymer (MIP) technology to develop a new and innovative sensor platform for online monitoring with a special focus on micropollutants. The solution will be adapted via functionalization to specific sector-related needs with the molecules ethinylestradiol (EE2) and perfluorbutanoic acid (PFBA) as primary targets. The ambition is to achieve (1) a reliable measurement methodology with high sensitivity and selectivity that is (2) robust and stable, independent of environmental factors, and (3) can provide an economically viable solution for many industrial applications.
