ILSF 2024 - Kinderuniversiteiten

VUB Children's University on Tour is committed to bringing university research to children in an accessible and accessible way. The aim of this initiative is to introduce them to different disciplines within STEM in a playful way.
The stand includes 9 activities, all developed by VUB researchers, with support from the science communication unit. We mainly offer the activities for children from 6 to 12 years old, both boys and girls. The children can use their creativity in designing the various activities. With some guidance, smaller children can also participate in a number of activities.
Participants receive a student card with name and photo that they use to borrow activities. If they complete enough activities, they receive a diploma.
We know from experience that children can work independently as well as together with friends, brothers, sisters and the rest of the family. We provide instruction sheets in Dutch, French and English.
