ILSF: Databuzz science festival 2021

Project Details

Description

The DataBuzz is a high-tech, mobile educational lab, which is housed in a 13-meter electric bus. Its specific goal is to increase the data literacy and improve understanding of novel technologies across different segments of society in the Brussels region through inclusive and participatory games and workshops. We offer 9 workshops for different target groups (www.databuzz.com) and on a variety of topics (e.g., privacy, AI, data journalism, filter bubbles). During the Science festival, we would like to showcase two of our workshops, namely ‘Esscape the DataBuzz junior’ (target: 10-14 year) and ‘Escape the DataBuzz senior’ (target: +14 year) to teachers and a broader audience. During the Escape games participants are locked up in the DataBuzz. In their search for the key, they learn about personal data and how to protect it. Next to the workshops we will provide visitors with information on our different workshops and how to book us. The workshops are only in dutch in Dutch (Text and Video Material) a translation French in French of the workshops is included in the price..
