Description
Prof. Dr. Janis Whitlock is an excellent researcher of a very high level, with a world reputation in terms of mental well-being (among young people). More specifically, she is internationally renowned for her research into intentional self-injury (www.isss.org), in which meanwhile more than 120 international researchers work together on research into intentional self-injury. She is also a pioneer in an innovative line of research into sexual health (and upbringing) in a digital world. In the USA she is recognized as the expert in the prevention of sexual violence. Prof. Whitlock is also head of the Bronfenbrenner Center of Translational Research, an excellent research center where research, policy and practice are focused on well-being and development.
