IPSU 2025: ANTIGONE: from ANTagonIsm to aGOnism in oNline media Ecosystems

this project consolidates and tests a multidisciplinary framework to counter disinformation and information manipulation while ensuring the right to freedom of expression (ABCDE+), that builds on international and European scholarship on balancing freedom of expression, using beyond-state-of-the-art media transparency and digital investigation tools, in case studies on climate change denial, far right extremism and hate speech, and anti-equality discourses, resulting in shifts from antagonistic to agonistic online media ecosystems.
