Description
“Morsels of Knowledge” will be the first conference of the ISKO Low Countries Chapter which will take place on 21-22 June 2019, at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (Belgium) in conjunction with the Inaugural meeting of the ISKO LC Chapter.
The conference theme embraces a broad range of issues on knowledge organization including questions of knowledge organization theory and knowledge organization systems and their applications.
The keynote speaker is Prof. Birger Hjorland from the Royal School of Library and Information Science at the University of Copenhagen.
A series of eminent speakers will offer their views on how knowledge can be optimally defined, stored and conveyed in a contemporary context and will put in the historical perspective dramatic changes in information technology and how they affect research, study and work in the information science domain.
The conference is aimed at both scholars and practitioners in various disciplines and domains dealing with knowledge and information organization and dissemination.
