Project Details

Description

My doctoral research is financed by a scholarship granted by FWO-Vlaanderen. My position as 'FWO-aspirant' started on October 1, 2006 and ends on September 30, 2007. This project proposal concerns a predoctoral position (predoctoral opvangmandaat) for the period after my FWO-doctoral scholarship in order to complete my PhD-dissertation (date planned for defence: February/March 2008). I also want to make use of this position to prepare apllications for new research projects and to revise my doctoral thesis for scientific publications. I will apply to various institutions inside and outside Europe, such as the FWO, The Nederlandse Organisatie voor Wetenschappelijk Onderzoek (NWO), the European University Institute (EUI) in Florence and the Latin American Facultad Latinoamericana de Ceincas Sociales (FLASCO). Furthermore, I will remain involved in academic activities planned for 2008, such as the organisations of conferences, publications, lectures, etc.
This proposal (see 'luik2, punt 7') presents an overview of the scientific output achieved since the beginning of my FWO-scholarship and of the planned activities for the academic years 2006/7 and 2007/8. It is an overview of my doctoral research, the planned submission of manuscripts for publications and the planned preparation of new research proposals, which will be sent to external financing institutions.
