Mini World Under the Microscope: Meet Your Own Cells

Project Details

Description

This workshop brings university research to children aged 6-12 in a fun and accessible way. This initiative introduces them to the fascinating world of cell biology and helps them playfully discover the cells that make up the human body. The session will begin with an engaging animation and explanation of the organs of the human body and their functions. Afterwards, we will also display 3D organ models with a colorful illustration of the corresponding cell. Children will then be able to observe these cells under a brightfield microscope. This microscope setup will introduce children to modern techniques used daily in scientific research and strengthen their fascination with science. At the end of the workshop, children can participate in an interactive quiz, where they have to match the correct organ to the corresponding cell types. Upon successful completion, they will receive a science diploma as a souvenir. Children can participate in the workshop independently or together with friends or the rest of the family.
