Multi collector inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (MC-ICP-MS) for interdisciplinary research

Project Details

Description

The goal of this project is to purchase a new state of the art MC-ICP-MS for interdisciplinary research in geosciences, oceanography, environmental chemistry, ecotoxicology, and archeology between 3 universities Ghent University, KULeuven and the VUB. In the current state of research, such a large scale instrumental facility can only be managed jointly by several research with a top international reputation. The MC-ICP-MS is an efficient technique for the analyses of all isotopic ratios at high precision except the gas phases (H, C, N, O, S and noble gases)
