Neurochemical and neuropharmacological investigation of the involvement of glutamate transporters in limbic epilepsy and Parkinson's disease

Using glutamate transporter specific antibodies, specific inhibitors and glutamate transporter deficient mice, we investigate the involvement of the high-affinity Na/K-dependent glutamate transporters, the vesicular glutamate transporters and the cystine/glutamate antiporter in rodent models for Parkinson's disease and limbic epilepsy.
