Description

Research in organic synthesis with focus on the development of new synthetic methods in organic chemistry and the development of efficient synthetic pathways to compounds that are of interest in medicinal and materials chemistry. Major research domains include:

1) Organometallic catalysis
Alkyne transformations
Gold catalysis
Carbene chemistry
Photoredox catalysis

2) Heterocyclic synthesis
N-containing (poly)cyclic heterocycles and natural product analogues for application in medicinal chemistry

3) Renewable chemistry
Synthesis of building blocks starting from available natural sources. Focus on application in polymer chemistry.
