OPS 2.0 - onderzoeksplatform Sport 2024-2029

The Flemish government and in particular the Flemish Minister of Education, Sport, Animal Welfare and the Flemish Periphery, Minister Ben Weyts, in collaboration with Sport Vlaanderen supported and financed the Research Platform Sport 1 (OPS1) with the aim of supporting policy with policy-relevant scientific research in the field of sport. This assignment is continued with the new call for the Research Platform Sport 2 (OPS2) with the main objective of research assignments to support policy-relevant challenges in the Flemish sports sector, but with new themes that closely match the policy domains of Sport Vlaanderen and the challenges of civil society organisations in the sports sector; namely: (i) sports infrastructure, (ii) sports participation, and (iii) professionalisation of sports organisations.
