Participant survey social-cultural work

Project Details

Description

In this study, we first want to clarify theoretically/methodically what we mean by participation in socio-cultural work. This will be more than an all-or-nothing definition but a matrix of different relevant forms of participation, from the perspective of the sector, the organisations and the 'flows' of civic
actorship in that sector, the activities and practices of those organisations and, finally, the people involved in those practices. We then focus on the person of the participant and examine which background variables determine which type of participation. Important here is that we explicitly start from the individual perspective of the participant and thus want to capture his/her experience of participation. In particular, we want to focus on how the participant him/herself gives meaning and value to participation in socio-cultural work.
