Description
This PhD project of Noël Reumkens focuses on the sign systems of poetry and visual arts in the German Republic after 1990. There are close affinities between poetry and art of the nineties and the historic Avantgarde (cf. the poetry of Thomas Kling).
The PhD thesis of Noël Reumkens on Kunst, Künstler, Konzept und Kontext. Intermediale und andersartige Bezugnahmen auf Visuell-Künstlerisches in der Lyrik Mayröckers, Klings, Grünbeins und Draesners includes a close-reading of ontermedial poetry written by Friederike Mayröcker, Thomas Kling, Durs Grünbein and Ulrike Draesner. The public defence will take place on 18 September 2009 at Vrije Universiteit Brussel.
