Prevention of voice problems in professional voice users.

The professional voice user is depending on his/her voice by the execution of his/her profession. Therefore we can expect voice problems during their career. In the first part of this study a literature study on preventions trategies in high quality speakers was set up. Eviidence based medicine is necessary, as it has to be proved that prevention is males sense. Next to this, we focussed on high load speakers (teachers). Again a literature study was set up to inventarize prevention programs, with an evidences based practice strategy. Up till today these are non existent. Part 2 of this project runs in cooperation with the Inserm (Institut national de la santé et de la recherche médicale, Paris). Nine European experts are asked to formulate scientific opinions on the prevention of voice problems in (future) teachers. The psychological and financial consequences of this phenomenon are considerable.

Deze beide onderzoeken moeten resulteren in een overzicht van preventie programma's en als het kan ook in concrete voorstellen voor de hele groep professionele stemgebruikers.
