Protocol agreement on association 2008: Formation and information of workers en the hierachicalline about chemical risks (project n° 23).

This project is linked to aim 3 of the federal EPD ESF (consolidation of employment) and concerns the development of a strategy for the formation and information of workers about chemical risks by prevention advisers of the companies with participation of the workers and the members of the hierarchical line. The developed method makes an appeal on the participation of the workers by offering them the opportunity to valorize their competence(in particular for older workers) en increase their knowledge (for the younger workers). The informatics part of the metod could also provide opportunities for new methologies. Taking into account the dimension of gender and the psycho-social aspects of the work conditions it also allows synergies with other projects concerning gender and safety/health at work. Information and sensibilization sessions will be organized to apply the developped instrument on specific work conditions, namely the work foor. Spreading of these methodologies involves an essential aspect of the association.
A second important aspect concerns the research contract between the Foundation for Occupational Diseases on the one hand and the Université Catholique de Louvain, the Vrije Universiteit Brussel and the 'Université de Liège on the other hand. These partners, besides their involvement in the project Toxtrainer, will pay special attention to the integration of the instrument TOXPRO. This instrument should give a concrete answer to the sensibilization campaign by putting a mass of clear data on the risks of chemicals available on a informatics carrier.
