Project Details
Description
Self-harm in older adults is more common than previously assumed: 8.2% of a Flemish sample reported self-harm engagement at age 60 and over. Yet in Flanders, primary care workers, who are often the first point of contact for older adults, lack specific guidance on how to address this issue. This project will develop a co-created psychoeducational toolkit to support primary care workers in recognizing, assessing, and responding to self-harm in later life and provide support to their caregivers.
