SEGa - The Science and Ethics of stem cell-derived Gametes

Project Details

Description

The SEGa consortium brings scientists and ethicists from 3 universities and 2 university hospitals together in order to research the possibilities of creating human gametes from pluripotent stem cells.

What makes this consortium unique, is that both scientists and ethicists are working on this project simultaneously and in constant interaction. This way they steer each other towards optimal results for the stakeholders of this endeavour: patients who are incapable of reproducing due to a lack of functional gametes.
